Research themes

I am an Associate Professor of Spatial Data Science and Planetary Health. My work uses a combination of geospatial, population-level and longitudinal analyses to tackle the world's major public health challenges.

Geospatial

My geospatial projects are often concerned with environmental exposures and links with behaviour and health.

Lifecourse and longitudinal

My longitudinal projects mostly partner with leading cohort studies around the world to examine changes in human behaviour and health.

Inequity and inequality

Little work in public health can be done without considering inequity/inequality. My ultimate aim here is to contribute to positive social and environmental change.

Physical Activity

I aim to better understand how physical activity can help people live longer, healthier and happier lives.
